Recipe for Sea Sea Bream Curry

Ingredients:

  • 4 sea bream fillets
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 can of coconut milk
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A handful of fresh cilantro leaves, chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a large pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the curry powder and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they have broken down, about 5 minutes.
  5. Pour in the coconut milk and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Season the sea bream fillets with salt and pepper, and add them to the pan. Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
  7. Serve the curry over a bed of rice, and sprinkle with chopped cilantro leaves (if using).
